We all have dream jobs. Then we all have jobs that aren't dreams until they come your way. Hardy Boys? Of course I read these books as a kid, sign me up! I was thrilled to get the opportunity to do this.
Providing numerous sketches for the client to choose from was essential. In this case, I found many key moments of drama in the story and wasn’t sure which one would be the best to captivate readers. Thankfully, working with a helpful team that trusts your judgment, but isn’t afraid to collaborate makes the process incredibly smooth.
"The Sketches went over beautifully, can we push them further?”
Aiming for the viewer to connect with both boys (show both faces), moody color scheme, and scale things to be as big as possible without being hidden by the title. My favorite change here was including the arrow in the tree. A very subtle hint to a pivotal moment in the Hardy's adventure.
